About Seamless Playback
BRAVIA Signage supports seamless playback in both paid and free versions.
Required Settings
When performing seamless playback, set the transition effect to [Disabled].
- Open the [Basic settings] screen
- Select [Switch effect]
- Set it to [Disabled]
The following table shows which content combinations support seamless playback. Only content that meets the recommended AV format specifications can be used.

*1 Note that only the first playback is seamless.
*2 Seamless playback is not supported on Android 10 or earlier if video content is included in the list of playback content. To make switching from JPEG seamless, set the JPEG type to Still image (4K) in the playlist settings. However, note that the monitor image quality differs between Still image and Still image (4K), even for the same image.
*3 Some HTML content may not support seamless playback.
*4 Supported in WebAppRuntime 2.1.3 and later.
*5 Supported in BRAVIA Signage Free v2.0.0 and later.
*6 No support for seamless playback between videos with different resolutions, frame rates, or formats.
Recommendations
- Ensure that all content used meets the recommended specifications.
- Be sure to set [Switch effect] to [Disabled].
- Confirm that the monitor firmware is Android TV OS 10 or later.
- When using JPEG content, consider setting the type of Still image 4K.
