Setup Method for Android TV OS 12 or Earlier
Simple Three-step Signage Operation Flow
Setup and content updates basically follow the same steps.

*The GUI is subject to change without prior notice.
※Menu items and procedures may vary depending on the monitor’s firmware version.
1. Creating Content Transfer Files
There is a folder called media in the sample folder. Save your content files there. Use the sample content for testing and discard it when you no longer need it.
Copy the sample folder containing the content files to the root directory of the USB flash drive. This completes the file creation.
Tips
You can specify the playback order by file name.

2. Starting BRAVIA Signage Free
You can find the BRAVIA Signage Free icon in [Home] of the “Pro settings mode”. When it is started, a screen to select the storage to be used is displayed. Select the option appropriate for your environment.
Options
- USB drive: How to play content via USB flash drive. One USB flash drive is required for each monitor.
- Built-in Storage: A method of saving and playing content on the monitor’s built-in storage. A permanent USB flash drive does not need to remain connected to the monitor during operation.
3. Inserting the USB Flash Drive into the Monitor
Follow the on-screen instructions to insert the USB flash drive, and the setup process will start automatically. When complete, you will be prompted to switch to the “Pro mode” environment. After you make your selection, the monitor automatically transitions from the “Pro settings mode” environment to “Pro mode” and starts playing your content.
Note:
Connect to a network if you want to use apps that access external information sources, such as weather or news, feeds, and dynamically retrieve data.
Setting Up Operation and Playback Methods
Press and hold the [1] button on the remote control for about three seconds while the content is playing in “Pro mode”. The BRAVIA Signage Free setting screen appears.
(1) [Play mode]You can select the playback style for each playlist (slideshow, playlist, or schedule).
(2) [Presentation mode]Set slideshow playback to automatic or manual. When enabled, slides can be played manually.
(3) [Horizontal/Vertical]Set according to the physical orientation of the monitor.
(4) [Transition Effect]You can set the fade-out/fade-in time for the content.
(5) [Duration (sec)]Sets the playback time for all content items. The playback time per item varies depending on the settings.
(6) [Text]If tickers are required, you can enter text.
(7) Remote Control Guide
[Red] button: Go to [Playlist settings] screen
[Green] button: Go to [Schedule settings] screen

Use Schedule Playback as Necessary
Operation Steps
- In the [Basic settings] screen, set [Playback mode] to [Schedule playback].
- Selecting [Playback mode] takes you back to the playback screen where you should open the [Basic settings] screen again.
- Press the [Green] button on the remote control to go to the [Schedule settings] screen.

Schedule Settings
- Use the color buttons on the remote control to set the schedule.
- Schedules are prioritized in the following order:
Specify date → Specify day of week → Execute every day

Note:
The monitor’s date and time must be set correctly for schedule playback. Note that if you turn off the main power of the monitor without connecting to a network, the date and time will be initialized and the scheduled playback may not happen at the correct time.
Check the Playlist
(1) [Playlist name / Content name / BGM] The contents of the file you created will be reflected.
(2) [Type] The content type is automatically reflected from the file extension. However, the distinction between “still image” and “still image (4K)” is not supported. To play back 4K resolution still images correctly, manually change [Type] to “Still image (4K)” using the remote control.
Press the [Red] button on the remote control in the [Basic settings] screen to go to the [Playlist settings] screen and view the contents stored in the monitor’s built-in storage.

Note:
Editing (renaming or changing selection) content directly on the internal storage using the [Playlist settings] screen may cause playback errors. Use the sample folder to create and edit data on your PC, and apply the data to the monitor via USB.
When Playing Content via a USB Drive
You can update it by following the setup procedure.
When Using Built-in Monitor storage
To update the contents of the internal storage, update the file on the USB drive saved during setup and overwrite the contents by performing the same procedure as you did during setup.
1. Exit signage playback if running
If you are playing content in “Pro mode”, hold down the red button on the remote control for about three seconds to display a dialog that allows you to select [Quit].
2. Start BRAVIA Signage Free
When you start BRAVIA Signage Free in the “Pro settings mode” environment, the following screen appears. Select [Update content] when prompted.

3. Follow the on-screen instructions
Insert the USB drive with the updated contents saved into the monitor. The system automatically starts installing the updated content to the internal storage. The existing content is overwritten and updated.
